This Saturday, June 17, Congresswoman Nydia Velazquez will host a Homeownership Resource Fair at the American Legion Post 118, 89-02 91st Street, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will feature information on mortgage modification, reverse mortgages, energy programs and foreclosure prevention.

Check out the newly installed Link NYC Kiosk in the WBID on Jamaica Avenue. The kiosks feature Wi-Fi, phone charging, Internet and 911. They will replace street phones.

Scott Strober, longtime benefactor of the Sanitation Department and 102nd Precinct, just finished the installation of his donated cardio and strength equipment to the precinct. The Richmond Hill resident also contributed gym equipment to the Sanitation Department. Thank you, Scott.

Applications for positions with Sheet Metal Workers Local Union 28 will be available from July 1-31 from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the Sheet Metal Workers Training Center at 139-20 Jamaica Avenue.
